Taikai’s 330kV High-Capacity New Energy Transformer Passes Short-Circuit Test

Recently, Shandong Taikai Transformer Co., Ltd. ("Taikai") successfully passed the short-circuit test for its 250MVA/330kV new energy transformer, which was independently designed and manufactured by the company. The test, conducted at the Xi'an High Voltage Electrical Research Institute, confirmed the transformer’s compliance with the latest GB/T1094 and IEC60076 standards and resulted in the issuance of a type test certification report.

The short-circuit test was conducted using a high-voltage side power supply and a low-voltage side short circuit. The results showed that the change in reactance before and after the test was less than 0.1%, well below the 1% threshold set by the standards. All performance indicators met international leading levels, further demonstrating the advanced capabilities of Taikai's products.
